WE INTEND ON TAKING BACK THE POWER AND HOLDING THE MIRROR AND THE TRUE REFLECTION OF RACISM IN BRITISH AND AMERICAN SOCIETY THAT SHOWS UP IN ALL SECTORS AND THE RETAIL AND SERVICE INDUSTRY IS NOT EXEMPT


WE WILL SUPPORT CONSUMERS AND TO CALL OUT HOSTILE ENVIRONMENT & UNSAFE SPACES AS WELL AS WORKING WITH WILLING PARTNERS, PROGRESSIVE RETAILERS & SERVICES TAKING THE PLEDGE TO SHOW RACISM THE EXIT.

'Shopping While Black'


The image of and in SWB logo are lanes that depict our journey and long history of shopping while Black. The navigating winding, twists and bends is the trail the Black consumers cover and endure with bias eyes everyday within the retail and services industry. In store, outlets and accessing spatial settings. Not forgetting behind the scenes in employment too. The circle or discrimination in retail has never yet come to an end and goes round and round and round again...


The racial profiling, the shopping aisle we’ve travelled, and still travel as Black consumers with discriminatory retail eyes fixed upon us in an unfair fashion. Only this time the eyes you’ll see will be ours, the Black consumers eyes now supported, set free and set firm, reflected back at you.


Time to hold the hostile retail, services industry to account. To check itself and to be committed to cut out racism and discrimination in UK business.


Racism and discrimination is still operating and thriving in retail & services industry. Time to alter and end the hostile environment of the unequal welcome and treatment of Black consumers, unfair services, and service denied when racially profiling Black consumers.
